Resumo: Portugal’s interior has a very important role in the national tourism, contributing for an ever-growing fixation of the population and entrepreneurship. The pandemic “forced” tourists’ displacements to the interior of Portugal, contributed by the limitations of the international travels. To make the touristic offer more embracing, four villages from the interior center of Portugal were identified to work as a network, located in the county of Santa Comba Dão (Region of Beira Alta), to promote actions in line with the main ongoing strategic plans, in which were identified several characteristics, essential to a touristic development that aims for sustaining its ideals parallel to sustainable actions in a low-density area. Acting as a network and in a sustainable way is essential, being that the tourism market benefits from social and digital globalization. The results show concern in acting sustainably and in network, along with authenticity, tranquility and security, elements highly valued in this investigation.
