Resumo: This study aims to compare countries, selected for convenience, regarding the index of economic, political and social globalization presented at theglobaleconomy website. The following countries were compared: South Africa, Australia, Brazil, China, USA, Japan, Spain, New Zealand, Nigeria and Portugal. The comparison was made between the countries analyzed within the same globalization index and also in relation to the other indexes. The countries chosen were also compared with the countries with the highest current index of each type of globalization. As a result, it was noticed that the economic globalization index had a similar evolution among the analyzed countries, with all countries, except Japan, showing a considerable decrease from 2010 to 2015. As far as the index of political globalization is concerned, the Most of the countries presented high rates, perceiving a worldwide trend towards a strong political globalization. All countries analyzed showed an increase in the social globalization index over the period analyzed. The tendency is for countries to strengthen their social issues.
