Resumo: In this paper were listed analysed and commented examples from legislative national and international laws which reflect the growing concern to protect, recover and make public the cultural heritage and, consequently, influence the development of cultural tourism in a sustained way in diferents territories and geographies, villages and cities, regions and countries. The Portuguese Cathedrals Route, created by legislative decision in a signed Protocol between the Portuguese State and the Portuguese Episcopal Conference is a very good example.
