Resumo: The Balearic Islands are seeking seasonally adjusted and diversify tourism for decades. One option that has been raised is the wine tourism, mainly by the increase in the number of existing wineries. Wine tourism is a growing field of study since the nineties and quite literature in the regions of the New World. In the Balearic Islands academic studies have traditionally focused on supply and demand for sun and sand, with few studies on alternative offers or minority tourism. This paper seeks to make a first approach to the situation of enotourism in the Balearic Islands, through a study of the wineries. This study allows to show the vision they have of the enotourism. The enotourism has a minor impact on the overall economy but is useful for wineries, improving their revenue and exports. The wine tourist profile is similar to the sun and beach tourist, dominated by foreigners. Looking forward, the enotourism will be focused on completing other tourist supplies and supplement the revenue of the wineries.
