Resumo: This work proposes a typology of tourist destinations in Mexico, based on the occurrence of COVID-19 at a municipal level, in the period comprising from March to June 2020. To achieve this, statistics on the number of cases, number of deaths, availability of health facilities and loss of jobs in the tourist sector were weighed up. The main results of the research, revealed through cartesian coordinates and represented in cartographic form, determined sixteen types of territorial combinations, comprising from those associated with conditions of higher incidence to the relatively safe sanitary circumstances of certain places.
