Resumo: Evaluating the management of ecotourism projects according to pre-established norms is important to ensure positive results. Bearing this in mind, the objective of this work is to analyze the current situation of the ecotourism service in four projects in the municipality of San Cristóbal de las Casas and determine the degree of application of the sustainability criteria established by Official Standard 133 (NMX-AA-133-SCFI-2013). Through observations and interviews, the criteria of the referred Standard were scored. Two of the sites had scores close to the minimum necessary to be considered with practices adhering to the guideline and, therefore, with sustainable management.
