Resumo: This study systematically synthesizes the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, highlighting the most relevant aspects for Chinese tourists. The main objective of this study is to provide Chinese tourists with a more complete and in-depth understanding of the site before and during their visit and to give them the tools to understand the monument better through some examples they know, such as suggesting that this Madrid site can be compared in certain respects to the 'royal residence of Chengde' in China. In addition, this study stands out the presence of emblematic works of China in the library and the palace, evidencing the close cultural exchange between China and Spain and underlining its considerable attractiveness in the Chinese tourist market.
