Resumo: Ecotourism is part of alternative tourism and is aimed at the enjoyment of and contact with nature. The objective of this research is to estimate the visitor satisfaction index based on ecotourism services, activities, and sites in El Verde Camacho Sanctuary, Sinaloa, Mexico. The methodology is quantitative and transversal, during the months of October to December 2022 a survey was applied that consists of two sections, the questions are closed and on a Likert scale; the sample is non-probabilistic by convenience and consists of 282 visitors; the satisfaction index was calculated with the methodology recommended by the Secretariat of Tourism and the Center for Tourism Studies. The results show that of the seven activities and services evaluated, all have a high level of satisfaction, however, the release of olive ridley turtles obtained the highest index (10), the lowest are found in the boat trip in the estuary (9.0) and the walk along the estuary (9.3); among the ecotourism sites evaluated, those with the highest satisfaction ratings were the beach (9.8) and the nesting sites (9.7), with the lowest ratings for the estuary (9.2) and the beach house (9.3). Consequently, some areas of opportunity and improvement are directed to the boat trip in the estuary and walking along the shores of the estuary. It is concluded that all the activities, services and sites studied meet the expectations and needs of visitors by having high levels of satisfaction; however, which allows for the generation of new tourist attractions. The manuscript shows the reality of ecotourism practice in a natural protected area in terms of conditions and opportunities for making the right decisions aimed at a specific demand.
