Resumo: This study focuses on social tourism in Bogotá, within a context where significant socioeconomic challenges limit access to tourism for vulnerable sectors of the population. The main goal was to establish the characteristics of social tourism in the Colombian capital, highlighting its potential as a tool for social inclusion. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology was adopted, using data and actor triangulation. The results indicate an urgent need to expand social tourism in Bogotá beyond economic limitations, to cover social and physical vulnerabilities. Despite efforts to include disadvantaged populations, there is a significant gap between intentions and practical application. The importance of greater public sector involvement in developing inclusive and effective social tourism is emphasized, promoting a coordinated strategy that ensures benefits for all vulnerable populations.
