Resumo: Abstract
Tourism largely influences the emission of greenhouse gases, the main cause of climate change, in the same way, it is impacted by the negative effects derived from it. Gíbara-Guardalavaca is a Cuban tourist destination that is in a growth stage, it is necessary to investigate what the main impacts of climate change will be in the area, which was the fundamental objective of this work. Scientific research methods and techniques were used, highlighting the bibliographic review, analysis and synthesis, historical-logical, interviews with specialists from the Ministry of Tourism in Cuba. the Institute of Meteorology and the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Havana. As the main result, predictions were obtained about changes in the climatological variables in different RCP and the effects that these changes will have on tourist activity in the territory. Arriving at the main conclusion that the changes will not be dramatic, however, it is required the adoption by the main responsible for local development in the area of ??a series of adaptation and mitigation measures, which will be designed in future research. attending to the particularities of Gíbara-Guardalavaca.
