Resumo: The ever-changing nature of business has made innovation in world trade the norm and event tourism an increasingly bigger player in the sector. The growing presence of digital technologies and the expansion of consumer-accessible media and applications have made it virtually impossible to imagine our world today without them. Consumers in the age of technology and event tourism have internalised the conveniences offered by these innovations and accepted their influence over them. The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between event tourism and digital technologies in light of the transformations of the new century. The study highlights evidence of the influence of technology on the changing profile of event tourists.
