Resumo: The present work, exploratory work, exposes a diagnosis on the use of information and communication technologies (TIC'S) in 175 tourism companies in the city of Guanajuato. Among the main results, it was found that the vast majority of companies include at least one ICT for the development of their daily activities. Among the most recurrent tasks in which these technologies are found are: marketing, administration and customer service. The ICTs with the greatest recurrence in the sample were: Data processors, point of sale terminals, web pages, social networks and globalizers. From this work it can be concluded that the inclusion of new technologies in the tourism industry will invariably be associated with the development of tourism in a given destination.
