Resumo: The present research aims to analyze the influence of the users’ agenda on public tourism policies, based on a study in Curitiba, Brazil. For that, a qualitative analysis was carried out on the postings shared during 2016 and 2017 on the Facebook pages of the Municipality of Curitiba, the Municipal Institute of Tourism of the city, and in the Central 156 of this municipality. The results indicate that the citizens’ agenda is mainly focused on offers related to attractions, tourist equipment and routing, healthcare, environment and urbanism. However, although some problems are resolved, there is evidence that the public tourist agency does not see these tools as a source for the formulation of public policies. Thus, it is concluded that tourist destinations are formulate public policies rather than constructing solutions. These policies, however, are sometimes out of touch with the reality experienced. Therefore, they should devote greater attention to the daily experiences of citizens which more effectively contributes to solving problems.
