Resumo: Research of the options, alternatives and financial constraints of entrepreneurs of the tourism sector in Colombia, particularly in Santander, to increase their investments in infrastructure, products, communications, and consequently, become more competitive on the next five years. The results presented are the results of a descriptive research by the Seed Research in Alternative Tourism and Sustainable of the Industrial University of Santander, as from strategic and programmatic contrast of fifty-six credit organizations selected as sampling. The reflection demonstrates why one of the main problems of tourism sector in Santander (Colombia) is the lack of an effective, fast and permanent funding for tourism projects before the lack of information from the agents of the tourism sector and the restrictions of public, private and mixed banks.
