Resumo: This work presents a system of indicators for the touristic activity in the town of Monte Hermoso, Argentina, based on the DPSIR (Driving Forces, Pressures, States, Impacts and Responses) model that takes into account the dimensions of the sustainable development paradigm. Difficulties related with information available limit this model as a tool for policy makers. However progress in its implementation will help to develop policy actions that aim to reduce poverty in that locality, creating equal opportunities for all the individuals.
