Resumo: The large volume of tourists arriving in Uruguay, coming from Argentina, generate a high spatial, social and economic impact in that country. This impact has a strong seasonality. This article makes a quantitative analysis of the behavior of these flows. The analysis uses data from random surveys made to international tourists upon entering the country, by the National Statistics Institute of Uruguay. The surveys examine factors such as geographic origin, transportation used to enter, the main destination in this country, the place of entry to Uruguay and some sociological characteristics, among another variables.
