Resumo: This study has developed an explanatory model based on the theory of motivation related to the possibility of obtaining reputation and recognition for consuming high-end gastronomy and to the enjoyment of the gastronomic experience, with the purpose of analyzing their effects on the intentions to return and recommend this type experience. The study confirms that the gastronomic experience and the status positively affect the intentions of returning and recommending the consumption of high-end gastronomy, being the effect of the experience much stronger.
