Resumo: The Spanish airport system has experienced deep changes as a consequence of the liberalization process of air transport developed at the end of the last century. One of its main consequences has been the increase of the air connectivity. Thus, by means of the so-called coefficient of connectivity, an analysis of the evolution of the degree of vertebration at the national level between urban systems (national connectivity) and the participation of the Spanish airports in the global scene (international connectivity) is intended, highlighting the impact of tourism on that phenomenon.
