Resumo: In the Northwest of Murcia (Spain), in recent years, rural tourism has gained a remarkable dynamism, generating additional income to workers in the primary sector. Rural tourism in this mountain region is encouraging its progress and economic and social development. However, tourism should not be the only activity of rural development, must be integrated with other economic activities and generate a productivity diversification in this region.
