Resumo: The importance that spatial meaning has acquired of the information explains the mapping boom. But we can not forget that until recently the treatment was given to mapping was not suitable. Thus it was common for enterprises and public institutions lax mapping, being the tourist the leading exponent of process tasks. In the case of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, the promotion on maps are the responsibility of the public company Turgalicia. The cartography published by Turgalicia be discussed in this article, referring to their inaccuracies, recommending some possible solutions to them. The conclusions of this study are perfectly extrapolated to other intitutions and administrative levels.
