Resumo: This article tries to give a realistic existence to the tourism in Australia concentrating fundamentally in New South Wales, who’s capital city, Sydney, hosted the 2000 Olympic Games. This event has had an impact in tourism in that state, and in the whole of Australia. For this, the analysis of the evolution and situation of tourism in the Australian continent was investigated from the point of view of the demand and supply, and taking into account the influence of the Olympic Games.
