Resumo: The thematic park of Dinópolis has become one of the main attractions of the province of Teruel. Since the park began to work in June 2001, some changes of socioeconomic type has been detected, not just because of the arrival of more visitors and tourists to the city of Teruel, but also because of the indirect impacts that the Park generates in the tourist and commercial sector. In this article we present the beginning and origins of the project, but also the socioeconomic influence at the local scale. The approach we adopte is to consider Dinópolis as one strategy for local development, since it is an increasing tourist attraction for visitors and tourists, and because the park is generating important indirect impacts in diverse sectors and economic branches.
