Resumo: This article intends to promote a rapprochement between the fundamental elements of slow tourism and Brazil’s alcoholic beverage segment, through an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative analysis of the Estrada do Sabor (RS) and the Rota da Cerveja (SC). The still-under-construction concept of slow tourism has as its key elements: slowness, experience, quality and environmental awareness – factors that guided the analysis and the interpretation of the attractions. The study evidenced that there exists from the universe of the drink, processes of cultivation, production and consumption, important association with the principles of slow movement, of living and of respect to the traditions. In this sense, it is concluded that the respect for the particularities of places and territories within wine andbeer tourism, combined with the key elements of slow tourism, emerge as a possibility and envision new temporalities and new experiences to tourism.
