Resumo: This article considers an Ordered Probit estimation to check the influence of aspects of the Natural Park of Madeira on the satisfaction that tourists get from the visit to the Park area, which is not only a biophysical balance factor but also the repository of the collective memory and identity of the island. The Park corresponds to 2/3 of the island, whose main economic sector is tourism.Using individual surveys, the tourists were polled to evaluate their degree of overall satisfaction, and with various aspects of their visit to the Park. The results show an overall satisfaction of tourists with their visit to the Park area and, in particular, with the landscape which is the most important tourist attractiveness factor. On the contrary, tourists assign a low classification to infrastructures in the area of the Park, aspect that should be improved so as to ensure an increase in customer satisfaction becoming an added value at a very competitive global market. The knowledge of the elements of tourist satisfaction allows us to draw conclusions as to which are the factors of attractiveness of the destination to be strengthened in the promotion and those which require an investment in their improvement.
