Resumo: The present work resulted from the knowledge acquired when directing the environmental educationdepartment of a zoo. To design a strategic educational proposal, we would have to begin from the knowledge of thevisitors’ profile. For this reason we carried a total of eighty five surveys based on a method of sampling by convenience.This did not provided us with the possibility of concluding beyond the inquired population, but gave us the conditions tounderstand the visitors’ necessities and to conclude about possible solutions to the educational department, by organizingpriority activities of interpretation and environmental animation.
