Resumo: This article aims to present some of the main findings and conclusions resulting from a study conducted in Portugal, as part of the Gentour I project. It is intended, with this work, to make the diagnosis of the employment of tourism graduates, assessing gender disparities in terms of salaries, academic training and areas of activity, as well as analysing the existing conflicts between work and family life and attitudes towards occupying leadership positions for women. Data suggest significant differences between men and women in various aspects.
