Resumo: The events have been assuming an increasing importance in recent decades. The organization of events has been promoted, in large measure, due to the recognition of the important socio - cultural and economic impacts thatthe events may provide. The festivals have been identified as one of the most important types of events. The increase in revenues, increase of employment, decrease of tourism seasonality and social interactions between residents and visitors are just some of the potential impacts of festivals for many regions. However, despite the great importance of the festivals, the evaluation studies of festivals are very scarce. The aim of this paper is to evaluate a festival that is also a living history event - The Medieval Journey of Santa Maria da Feira. The event was assessed using a questionnaire administered to the visitors of the event and 517 valid questionnaires have been obtained. This paper presents an analysis of visitors’ evaluation of the festival and later, the segmentation of visitors according to the assessment of the event by attributes is done. Three segments were identified. The article ends with some conclusions and implications that should be considered by event organizers, and especially by the organizers of the Medieval Journey of Santa Maria da Feira.
