Resumo: Internet is today an excellent tool for promoting destinations and spreading out the tourism information and offers unquestionable promotional potential. The Destination Marketing Organisations use this more and more often to promote their destinations and pro-ducts. In fact, now days almost ali destinationshave their own websites to this purpose!However in order for a site to be explored to its best capacity it must offer an appropriate constructed user interface.This article aims to analyse the Portugal inSite in which concerns its contents and quality of user interface and used as supporting tools the evaluation techniques of usability, resulting from review of the actual specialised literature, which also have been applied to an empiric study performed last March 2004.
