Resumo: This paper examines the relationship between the quality of tourism destinations and visitor satisfaction. In order to meet this goal, a model was developed, which assesses the impact of quality and total quality of destination attributes on visitors’ satisfaction. This model was applied to Figueira da Foz tourism destination based on data obtained in a survey carried out in 2011 to 193 visitors, and it was tested using multiple regression analysis. The results clearly show that the assessment of the quality of some destination attributes and of total quality positively influences the level of visitor satisfaction with the destination. The paper ends with some contributions to the development of tourism destinations in general and, in particular, to the development of the Figueira da Foz destination.
