Resumo: The purpose of this study is to analyse the possible existence of a digital gender gap in the process of Internet diffusion in the specific context of rural tourism. Rogers’ diffusion of innovations theory is applied to establish the diffusion curve and to identify adopter categories, according to the moment in time when adoption takes place. The process of Internet diffusion in Galician rural tourism seems to be taking place according to Rogers’ model, and it is considered not to be related to the gender of the owners of rural tourism establishments.
