Resumo: This paper analyses the scientific articles published by Portuguese tourism academic journals between 2004 and 2019. Journals characteristics, evolution and authorship profile are examined by means of a bibliometric descriptive approach. Results suggest the various journals pursue somewhat distinct editorial paths and the effect of linguistic and geographical proximities on the overall country representation.
