Resumo: The megacity of São Paulo, in Brazil, is one of the most important destinations for events in Latin America. Receiving eleven millions of tourist annually, a large structure to receive and develop the events is needed. São Paulo is also a city with huge climate vulnerability and events can increase or decrease this vulnerability. This article tries to verify the actions taken by the events fields to belittle the climate risks. To evaluate these questions, bibliographic and documental searches associated with field research were used. The results indicated that there are actions and corporates policies to minimize this vulnerability. However, these are not sufficient for a positive outcome, and not also a large awareness of the event sector to the environmental issues is needed, as new actions through all the events chain should be planned.
