Resumo: Lisbon, for many years, has been world known for its history, music, food and festivities. With this paper, it is intended to give a brand new look at the touristic opportunities by showing how Geotourism can bring innovation and an original proposal to a place, already rich in touristic attractions, but in desperate need for the New Tourists. This new opportunity may be found in something already existing in the city, something that has great importance for the tourists and even more for the residents: the city’s underground transport system. However, is it feasible to use something as trivial as a subway station, as a geotouristic resource? The truth is that each station’s value lies on the harmony created between Art and the use of natural stone. Therefore, we propose the creation of an urban geotouristic tour, where the works in natural stone are enhanced while showing the similarities between the traditional use of stone, and the modern underground world. Therefore, we can contribute to show that what surrounds us can be a source of knowledge, and only when you know what is around you, will you fully understand the world and realize one’s role in the 'whole'.
