Resumo: Objectives: To expose the potential that the Galician territory has within gastronomic tourism, as well as the recommendations that should be carried out in order to improve them to promote this tourist product. Methods: The research is considered documentary and descriptive, with an analytical and qualitative method. Various documents and technical sheets were consulted, in addition specialized sources were consulted. Results: From the analysis of the gastronomic tourism offer in Galicia, Protected Denominations of Origin, Protected Indications of Origin were identified, in addition to a list of Galician products characteristic of its gastronomy, gastronomic festivals and food and wine routes. Conclusion: Galicia has a good tourist strategy materialized in the sustainable exploitation of its unique and, above all, traditional and quality gastronomy. It has enough products, events and gastronomic expressions to make the most of this sector and it can be said that gastronomic tourism is one of the potential tourist attractions of the territory.
