Resumo: In light of the diagnosis conducted within the cultural landscape of the Community of Madrid and based on the results obtained assessing the degree of cultural accessibility for certain social exclusion risk groups, the main objective of this article is to present the methodology and tools used in designing a themed route focused on the American heritage in Madrid. For this route, aimed at adults with intellectual disabilities, collaboration with various specialized agents in pedagogy and social work is both necessary and mandatory. This not only allows for the improvement and adaptation of content tailored to a specific audience but also facilitates the creation of a network that fosters the involvement and contribution of different areas. Therefore, an understanding of the cultural policies defined by public administrations within their Inclusive Tourism strategic plans and the various projects initiated by museum institutions and cultural entities for such audiences serve as a starting point in the conceptualization and creation of this themed route. However, we aim to go further, as this route’s subsequent implementation will be part of the activities proposed in an R&D project where the authors are involved, offering the possibility of even digitizing its contents for use by the Day Centers that accommodate these groups.
