Resumo: Currently, tourism demand requires the creation of attractive products that respond to different modalities, in order to diversify the tourism offer; therefore, taking advantage of the geotourism potential is a short-term goal. The purpose of this research is to design a tourist product in the municipality of Gibara that shows the scientific, historical, didactic and esthetic value of these geosites, in order to diversify the tourist offer. The methodology that was partially used was structured by 4 phases: preparation, diagnosis, creation of the product and implementation and control. The tourist attractions that will be taken into account for the development of the product are: the Gibara Overhangs, the para-stratotype of the Gibara Formation, the Bakers' Cave, the Cristalitos de Papaya cenote, the Natural History Museum and the Gibara lookout point. The tourism product is called 'Geotourism Route of Gibara'.
