Resumo: The city of Cordoba (Spain) is a cultural destination with four UNESCO World Heritage declarations. The patrimonial and cultural richness makes the city of Cordoba a relevant destination to analyse the perception of tourists about its image as a tourist destination. The aim of this paper is to analyse the tourists' assessment of the affective and cognitive image of the destination using the generation theory as a reference. To carry out the research, a structured questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of tourists who visited the city of Cordoba between December 2022 and May 2023. Out of a final sample of 709 tourists, the results show empirical evidence that age is not a variable that allows discriminating the affective and cognitive perception of a World Heritage Destination.
