Resumo: In 2021, the RENABBIO research group of the National Learning Service, SENA, in the municipality of La Dorada, Caldas, Colombia, carried out a research process around the diagnosis of nature tourism in the Magdalena caldense subregion, a qualitative study that had the opportunity to learn through local communities, tourism service providers in the territory and the preparation of an inventory of tourist attractions how this activity is developed, its needs, impacts, opportunities, benefits and the actual state of the touristic attractive of nature. The collection and the analysis of information were based on the field diagnostic, in addition, the product of touristic stocktaking was based on the methodology of “Ministerio de Comercio Industria y Turismo, 2010”. The investigation´s tools were processed and categories were created. This article shows the Magdalena caldense investigation´s results around the historic and geographical context, its potentialities, opportunities and their relation with nature tourism.
