Resumo: This paper explored students' perception towards the effectiveness of tourism entrepreneurship education in developing entrepreneurial attributes and achieving entrepreneurial desirability. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 154 randomly selected tourism students at a South African comprehensive University. Descriptive, bivariate, and multivariate data analyses were employed to address the research objectives. The study found that having entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial family background played a role in achieving entrepreneurial attributes and desirability. Students' demographic characteristics (gender and age group) did not play a role in the achievement of entrepreneurial attributes and desirability. Nonetheless, the study recommended ways to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education being offered in the university's tourism department that was studied.
