Resumo: This article is based especially on the appropriation of three diagnostic tools that allow analyzing the following factors: the potentialities of the destination with the territory map, the state of the tourist and complementary infrastructure with the DOFA and the structural components of the product with the analysis of the picture. Tools applied to the destination San Antonio in Tolima - Colombia as an emerging tourist destination, a municipality that, from a first search, shows potentialities in the development of nature tourism, but has not been made visible, especially due to access conditions followed by ignorance in large part of the total rural dimension of the municipality. Topics such as an emerging tourist destination, local development and elements of the planning diagnosis accompanied by the denomination of territory from tourism come together in the analysis of a case study that hopes to provide elements to be considered relevant in the development of destinations that begin their process. of conventional tourism planning in search of making the activity visible in an organized and participatory way.
