Resumo: The COVID-19 pandemic has generated different impacts on the world, and the implemented lockdown measures have made tourism one of the last sectors to be reactivated, directly affecting those countries whose economies depend on it. Given this context, we analyze the developed research and types of measures that have been adopted in similar situations to rigorously make a bibliometric analysis of studies related to tourism and contagious and infectious diseases, using different academic databases: Scopus, Web of Science, and Science Direct. The results showed that the number of publications increases during crises years due to disease, such as in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. HIV-AIDS is one of the diseases with the closest connection with tourism likewise Malaria, and SARS.
