Resumo: The purpose of this study is to examine trends around research in geotourism, geological heritage and their relationship with new technologies. The methodological approach is based on a bibliometric analysis of 160 scientific publications about study selected from a search carried out in the Scopus database and analyzed using the VosViewer software. Among the results, it is identified that some European and Asian countries present greater research advances on the subject, the most used echnological implementations are 3D visualizations, virtual reality and augmented reality launched through mobile applications and web platforms. Additionally, it is common for geotourism to allow the fusion of geological themes with cultural and identity aspects of each region. Among the conclusions, it is observed that the most important research topics are the relationship between new technologies and the consolidation of tourism forms focused on the digital world, where different public sectors are present and new experiences are identified which open the way to enjoyment, study, and research.
