Resumo: The article aims to make an approximation to the state of knowledge of the effect of tourism on the social construction of space and some impacts on the indigenous population, with the purpose of recognizing critical studies linked to specific vulnerable groups and their behavior with respect to tourism. It was based on the search for documents published between 2011 and 2021 in international databases, choosing a total of 46 scientific texts. Through discourse analysis, four lines of research were identified according to their content: social space and migrations, changes in the social imaginary, social space and indigenous communities, and socio-spatial segregation. There is an increase in scientific production on this subject and in the detection of factors that promote the socio-spatial segregation of social groups in conditions of vulnerability.
