Resumo: Armero Tolima is a place characterized especially by its history and tourist attractions that frame a before and after the tragedy, it is there, where the tourist imaginaries create desire, make the place attractive and intervenes in the choice of the place to visit. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the imaginaries of the tourist demand that the municipality of Armero Tolima has, as well as the tastes and preferences that tourists and visitors to places associated with death, natural disasters and tragedies have. To do this, they conducted structured interviews with tourists to identify the imaginaries, the results allow to see the different ways of seeing the ruins of a tragedy that happened, which make a difference in the before and after, in that affected place.
