Resumo: The Region of Murcia is an area with a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with scarce water resources. Providing its tourist coastline with safe flows, especially in summer, the time of greatest influx that coincides with the summer drought, is a task that conditions and sustains the economic development of the Region. The objective of this article is to analyze the consumption of potable water in the coastal municipalities of the Region of Murcia in the period 2016-2020, through a qualitative and quantitative study. Differences in performance, per capita consumption and seasonality stand out.
