Resumo: Industrial archaeology is a growing area of interest for tourism development, with more and more people choosing to spend part of their free time visiting old factories, mills and mines, and more towns and communities beginning to realise the importance of preserving them. The tide mills of Galicia are a small but fascinating part of this industrial landscape. The aim of this article is to raise awareness of their existence, in an attempt to encourage the relevant public bodies to take steps to preserve and promote them.
